text: Historical and renovated library. The most important one to see for its architecture. It is possible to study here after a registration and having the library card. Only rule is to leave your stuff at cupboards in entrance. Coffee machines are present. Sometimes cultural activities are also organised ehich can be checked in their website. It is closed on sundays and holidays.

text: 'This beautiful library has a facade that reminds to Napoleon Turin period. It is composed by Ancient Rome period statues in accordance to the architectural style of King Carlo Alberto square. Statues are also present in the back facade of Carignano Palace which hosts National Museum of Risorgimento. A central statues monument of posterior period, probably relevant to the occupation of French soldiers in XV century -> see Pietro Micca Italian patriot history, is present in the square.

A formerly students used books market was present down the arcade facing the square (books were not in mint). I bought some, I remember a geography book for high school which has damaged back and cover.

Also an electronic book that was not in good condition.
|
||

||
The library has a beautiful arch at the entrance, central to the facade. Entering the hall there is the reception. At both sides of the hall there are boxes to leave students bags. Entrance is allowed badging (there is a badge reader) Italian Fiscal-Sanitary Card. Visitors may be admitted exhibiting a document. They give you a pass.

||
There is also an auditorium. It could be useful to plan teaching activity for all citizens.
|
||
|
||
In the hall sometimes an art, music or author exhibition is organized.
|
||
|
||
In the back of the hall there are automatic vendor coffee, tea, chocolate machine with some armchair to relax during studying and eating your personal meal you brought from home.
|
||
|
||
Going upstairs (there are two elevators) at first floor there are bathrooms, a room that was used as University Research Magazines reading room, now has a different usage.
|
||
|
||
Going upstairs at second floor there is a big reading room. The lightning system does not fit for studying, it is not designed for a large room. it should be revised. At second floor you can find the book borrow reception, too. There is also a third floor I never discovered.
|
||
|
||
The back of the palace hosting the library is modern so I think the old building was hit by bombing during World War II. The facade is a reconstruction made after War, so the entire building.
|
||
|
||
In the proximity of the square there is ancient Campana Palace, Carlo Alberto street, which hosts Math Turin University Department and Giuseppe Peano Math Library.'
