text: This is a fascinating museum in an out-of-the-way village in Austria's Tirol. Great attention is given to St Anne,

patron saint of miners and the mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The museum is on several floors with different sections

so it is easy to get lost. There are many intricate carvings as well as samples of every day life in the past.

is spread over 2 buildings, both of which are connected via an underground tunnel that also contains some of the work.

We went to see the mine but this was th adress mentioned. Paid for tickets but heard afterwards the mine was 4km up the road. The road was bad, potholes and gravel all the way and no way to see where you are going. And when we arrived at the mine it was closed (mon-tuesday) which is not mentioned on the website.
