      met 5 families die als eerste bij de koloniën aankwamen. Gewoon goed geslaagd

    text: Interessant museum over de geschiedenis van het ontstaan en de opbouw van
      onze moderne sociale welvaartsstaat. Het verhaal van Generaal van de Bosch en
      de kolonie van Weldadigheid wordt in een paar verhaallijnen van personen en
      hun families verteld. De armoede, gebrekkige gezondheidszorg en opleidingen
      komt goed binnen, net als de poging om via de Maatschappij van Weldadigheid
      dat te bestrijden. Het positieve mensbeeld, het optimistische maatschappijmodel
      en de stappen die in die tijd zijn gezet, inspireren. Tegelijkertijd geeft het
      ook reflectie naar de mislukkingen, het repetitieve karakter van de geschiedenis,
      stof tot denken. De opzet van de tentoonstelling krijgt van ons zeker een ruim
      voldoende, maar niet de maximale 5 sterren. Daarvoor vonden wij de onoverzichtelijke
      looplijnen, claustrofobische hokjes met gordijnen en de sfeerverlichting net
      wat afbreuk doen aan de verder professionele opzet. Multimedia, retro films,
      geluid en effecten zijn prima gedaan. Zeer zeker de moeite waard om te bezoeken.

    text: Wel mooi museum maar er zijn ook mensen die geen recht hebben op voedsel
      bak enz. Om dat ze genoeg verdienen maar ze kijk niet naar de situatie en omstandigheden
      dat je opeens in een te dure huurhuis zit in die situatie en geen urgentie krijgt
      om maar een goedkoper huurhuis te gaan en dan zeggen ze gewoon je hebt een dak
      boven je hoofd en op straat staat en dat je aangeeft dat je hulp nodig hebt
      wat veel te laat op gang komt kort om dat geen eten! Geen leuk dingen doen!
      Thuis zitten en bloemen kijken en dan weer naar werk.maar gelukkig gaat het
      nu goed maar zo al de voedselbank en enz. Geef ik geen cent meer als ik het
      nodig had geen hulp.

    text: Fantastisch museum als start van je ontdekkingstocht naar de Koloniën van
      Weldadigheid. In Frederiksoord vindt de pilot plaats, als proefkolonie. Het
      succes is wisselend, maar uiteindelijk wordt  hier wel het zaadje van onze huidige
      verzorgingsstaat gelegd. Het museum is helemaal van deze tijd, interactief en
      met gedegen informatie.
