Pracht historisch gebouw … helaas dicht op de maandag dat we er waren … op het bordje op het gebouw staat :

De Waag is in 1650 gebouwd. Het verving een eerder voltooide dat in 1649 is gesloopt. In dit gebouw werden diverse producten, zoals zuivelwaren en vlees en spek gewogen.
|
||
|
||
Vis werd gewogen in de Viswaag, die ook op de Merk stond op de kade langs het water De Wimerts (nu de doorgaande weg, gedempt in 1875). In 1899 sloot de Waag haar poorten als weeggebouw door de komst van twee zuivelfabrieken…. Daarna heeft het verschillende andere functies gehad zoals leeszaal , bibliotheek en politiebureau …nu biedt het onderdak aan het museum Warkums Erfskip

Zeer schagerijnige mevrouw aan de balie. Ze had geen internet en dat moest eerst gerepareed worden voordat wij onze stempel van de 11 stedentocht konden krijgen. Tjonge wat een klantvriendelijkheid. Ook het adres waar wij onze stempel moesten halen klopte niet. Daar staat noard 17 op. O, zei ze koel,dat komt wel vaker voor.

text: Wat een ontzettend leuk museum. We brachten er op zondagmiddag 20 oktober (open van 13-17 uur) een uurtje door en

leerden veel over de geschiedenis van Workum. De toegang voor het museum is €7,50 en daarvoor mag je ook een bezoek

||
brengen aan het prachtige stadhuis van Workum. Maar helaas voor ons besloot de vrijwilliger die in het stadhuis werkte
|
||
die dag om de deur te sluiten om 15.45 uur omdat wij de enige bezoekers waren🥲🥲. Sneu vonden we dat voor ons en niet
|
||
echt klantvriendelijk 😡.
