De laatstejaars werkten de afgelopen periode aan hun eindstuk voor het vak Kunst. Docente Marije de Vries liet haar

leerlingen voor het vak culturele en kunstzinnige vorming op zoek gaan naar andere culturen en de verschillen en overeenkomsten
|
||
die zij daarbij tegenkwamen. In de vorm van driedimensionale objecten laat haar klas zien hoe zij een symbolische brug
|
||
slaan tussen verschillende culturen.
|
||
|
||
|
||
De expositie past goed in het Nationaal Onderduikmuseum waar het thema vrijheid en de moed van het verzet centraal staan.
|
||
De vrijheid en het respect die leerlingen van nu ervaren om met een open blik en houding naar andere en onbekende culturen
|
||
te kijken sluit daar direct bij aan. Een vrijheid van leven en leren die niet vanzelfsprekend is en die we moeten koesteren.
|
||
|
||
|
||
Een publieke opening van de tijdelijke expositie was vanwege corona helaas niet mogelijk. Het Nationaal Onderduikmuseum
|
||
zal via haar sociale mediakanalen aandacht schenken aan de expositie en verwelkomt, zodra het weer kan, graag alle belangstellenden.
|
||
De tijdelijke expositie loopt tot eind juni 2021.'

\ de vader van Anne zou de oorlog overleven.\nAnne Frank stierf op 31 maart 1945 in Bergen-Belsen, 15 jaar oud.\n\n\
|
||
In augustus 2010 werd de kastanjeboom waar Anne Frank over schreef, geveld door een storm. Vrijwilligers verzamelden\
|
||
\ de kastanjes die inmiddels zijn uitgegroeid tot flinke bomen, variërend in lengte van een tot vijf meter hoog. Eén\
|
||
\ van deze nazaten is nu in het parkje bij het station van Aalten geplant.\n\nDe witte kastanje was voor Anne Frank\
|
||
\ een symbool van hoop. Wij hebben de boom geplant als symbool voor ontmoeting en samenleven ongeacht ras, geaardheid\
|
||
\ of geloof en geeft aanleiding tot reflectie op vrede en vrijheid, toen en nu.\n\nDe Anne Frank Vrijheidsboom is een\

Ivy Philips, een joodse jongen van goede komaf, vluchtte samen met zijn vriend Frits Cohen op 15-jarige leeftijd uit
|
||
Zutphen. Hij bracht in De Heurne bij het grensdorp Dinxperlo de oorlog door. Zij deden er zich voor als studenten Jan
|
||
Klinkenberg en Frits Verwey, die niet naar Duitsland wilden voor de Arbeidseinsatz. Zo was het minder risicovol een
|
||
onderduikplek te vinden. Hun persoonsbewijzen waren daarvoor vervalst. Via de dames Jolink kreeg hij onderdak bij de
|
||
familie Groot Nibbelink op de Roesse in De Heurne, waar hij als boerenknecht ging werken.
|
||
|
||
|
||
‘Jan van de Roesse’ was heel geloofwaardig met zijn lichtblauwe ogen en blond haar. Bovendien sprak hij Achterhoeks.
|
||
Frits die vlakbij zat (bij Kwerreveld) viel ondanks zijn valse achternaam Verwey te veel op en ging terug.
|
||
|
||
|
||
Ivy heeft pas enkele jaren geleden vernomen dat zijn moeder en kleinere broertje Maurits, nadat zij zich hadden aangemeld,
|
||
via Vught naar Westerbork zijn vervoerd en binnen enkele dagen in concentratiekamp Sobibor zijn vermoord. Het toeval
|
||
wil dat Ivy’s nicht Bep Frankenhuis ook ondergedoken zat in Dinxperlo en de oorlog overleefde, zo bleek na afloop van
|
||
de oorlog.
|
||
|
||
|
||
Ivy is zelf jaren geleden begonnen met het optekenen van de gebeurtenissen.

Boven op zolder verborgen zij onderduikers. Markt 12 was voor hen een doorgangsadres naar een definitieve onderduikplaats.

Toen de Duitsers de grote woonkamer vorderden en hier de Ortskommandantur vestigden, veranderde dit niet. Haar ouders
|
||
probeerden ook een goede verstandhouding met de Duitsers op te bouwen. Maar toen de Duitsers haar moeder het portret
|
||
van Hitler lieten zien, dat was opgehangen in de Ortskommandantur, draaide zij dit wel om.
|
||
|
||
|
||
Dochter Jennie hoorde pas na de oorlog wat zich had afgespeeld in haar ouderlijk huis. In dit huis is nu het Nationaal
|
||
Onderduikmuseum gevestigd, en het vertelt de geschiedenis van dit woonhuis via de personen die hier langskwamen.
|
||
|
||
|
||
Tegenwoordig geeft Jennie zelf rondleidingen door haar ouderlijk huis, het Nationaal Onderduikmuseum aan de Markt 12
|
||
in Aalten. Op 27 maart 2015 onthulde ze bij de entree van het museum een ‘Luisterkei’. Deze kei vertelt het verhaal
|
||
van de familie Kempink en vormt een schakel in de omvangrijke Liberation Route Europe, die loopt van Noord-Europa tot
|
||
Noord-Polen.
