text: 'Meest opvallend vond ik de doopvont schelp waarin mensen vroeger gedoopt

||
werden. De schelp komt uit Azië en is groot genoeg om in te dopen. Dopen doe
|
||
je om het geloof in Jezus Christus te belijden en Hem als Verlosser en Zaligmaker
|
||
te erkennen. Het christendom onderscheid zich van andere religies door de verlossing
|
||
buiten jezelf te zoeken en daarmee de onmacht als mens tot uiting te brengen.
|
||
Vandaar dat doop ook nu nog weerstand oproept, het gaat om God gehoorzamen boven
|
||
mensen.
|
||
|
||
|
||
Het museum weeft geschiedenis, zeeleven, scheepvaart ineen. Dat kun je als minder
|
||
focus ervaren, maar ook als een gelijktijdig weergegeven van ontwikkelingen
|
||
van de plaats Delfzijl. Het blijft natuurlijk waar dat nooit één factor bepalend
|
||
is voor de ontwikkelingen, maar een veelheid van factoren bijdraagt of afbreuk
|
||
doet. En het heeft als bijkomend voordeel dat je de voor jou minder interssante
|
||
onderdelen sneller doorgaat.

text: 'Wij dachten met 2u klaar te zijn, maar dat was achteraf gezien echt niet

||
genoeg. Mocht je bijvoorbeeld de vissen/zeedieren in de verscheidene aquaria
|
||
goed willen bekijken, zal ik aanraden om minimaal 3uur voor dit museum uittrekken.

Ook is het leuk om door een bestaande bunker te wandelen en om wat mee te krijgen
|
||
van de Joodse cultuur destijds rond 1940 in Delfzijl.
|
||
|
||
|
||
Er hangen tevens veel schilderijen van het Delfzijl van toen, dit is ook wat
|
||
veel om in enkele minuten te bezichtigen.
|
||
|
||
|
||
Voor de liefhebbers is er nog een enorme collectie aan schelpen / stenen & mineralen.
|
||
Dit bekijken, nam ook veel tijd in beslag.
|
||
|
||
|
||
Er is geen vaste looproute, dat kan het wat verwarrend maken.
|
||
|
||
|
||
Verder had ik het voor jeugd leerzaam gevonden als er misschien een kleine bioscoop
|
||
was om via beeld wat geschiedenis mee te krijgen. En misschien leuk voor in
|
||
de toekomst om wat interactieve bezigheden toe te voegen. Want nu was het gauw
|
||
saai aan het worden voor pubers. 🤣'

text: Erg leuk, voor kinderen (5 en 9jaar) iets minder. We waren er in de vakantie

||
en ze hadden een speurtocht gemaakt met aan het einde een prijsje. Zelf vond
|
||
ik het erg interessant, ook de geschiedenis en de film die getoond werd. Kinderen
|
||
waren er al wel snel klaar mee. Aquarium stelt niet veel voor maar wel leuk
|
||
om te zien welke dieren er in onze zee zwemmen!

text: Interessant museum, vooral voor kinderen, over de géschiedenis van Delfzijl

en de regio. De nadruk ligt op de scheepvaart en de Waddenzee maar ook de prehistorie
|
||
komt aan bod. Voor kinderen zijn er leuke te doen zoals een het bedienen van
|
||
een interactief baggerschip, het zoeken met een metaaldetector en het bezoeken
|
||
van een scheepsstuurhut. In een Tweede Wereldoorlog bunker vindt zich het aquarium
|
||
met vissen uit de Waddenzee.
