Zo van de drukke snelweg af kom je in een opmerkelijk rustige ambiance. Het
|
||
slot waar verschillende generaties woonden is imposant te noemen, waarbij het
|
||
interieur een adelijke welstand laat zien.
|
||

||
Via een zijdeur ga je naar binnen waarbij de grote marmeren trap direct opvalt.
|
||
Deze trap was niet voor het personeel, die had een eigen trap die minder mooi
|
||
was. De keuken is niet erg groot, helemaal als je je bedenkt dat hier op zijn
|
||
laatst een gezin met 5 kinderen woonden + het voltallige bedienend personeel.
|
||
|
||
|
||
De kamer met het grote zijden muurdoek is wel het opvallendst. Een enorm wandtapijt
|
||
waar een 30 a 40 wevers hielpen om te vervaardigen. Een zeker moment werd het
|
||
slot naar achteren uitgebouwd waardoor de "overloop" en de marmeren trap ontstonden.
|
||
De toenmalige mijnheer, sneed het doek open. liet er een deur plaatsen om op
|
||
deze manier op de gang te komen.
|
||
|
||
|
||
Het verschil tussen de standen is duidelijk voelbaar. De vrouwen sliepen op
|
||
de zolder, en de mannen beneden om te voorkomen dat er affaires konden ontstaan.
|
||
Op zolder werd ook de was gedaan, waarbij het erg koud kon zijn of erg warm.
|
||
In de keuken werd er gegeten vanaf het zg. personeelsservies. Dit was servies
|
||
dat gelijmd was of hier en daar beschadigt.
|
||
|
||
De bedienden was het niet toegestaan op de gang te lopen ten tijde van bezoek,
|
||
en zo had men verschillende paden en ruimtes om te zorgen dat het personeel
|
||
zich niet kon vermengen met de adellijke gasten. Soms was dit niet mogelijk.
|
||
|
||
|
||
In de bibliotheek is er een grote verzameling met boeken te zien.
|
||
|
||
Er staan ook kleine rode en blauwe boekjes waar informatie in stond over adellijken,
|
||
dan wel niet adellijken. Wellicht was dit de voorloper van de catalogusbruid(egom)?
|
||
|
||

+ Praktisch +
|
||
|
||
Vergeet de parkeermunt niet voor het uitrijden, edoch je kan ook met PIN betalen
|
||
bij de slagboom.
|
||
|
||

||
+ Conclusie +
|
||
|
||
Prachtig kasteel en entourage die je een duidelijk beeld laat zien over de welstand
|
||
en hen die van zonsopgang tot zonsondergang moesten werken in allerlei verzorgende
|
||
taken.
|
||
|
||
Erg boeiend met name de hostesses die prachtige informaties gaven over het leven
|
||
van toen. Onze waardering hiervoor.'

text: Wat een prachtig slot. Wij zijn hier in juli geweest en met de vriendenloterijpas

||
kan je hier ook nog eens gratis naar binnen. Het appelgebak is echt een aanrader.

Toiletten in het café zijn schoon. Parkeren kan op een parkeerterrein met slagboom.

||
Muntje om uit te rijden kan je kopen bij de kassa.

text: 'Afgelopen week een bezoek gebracht aan Slot Zuylen en ik moet zeggen: het

overtrof mijn verwachtingen. Het kasteel ligt op een mooie plek aan de Vecht,

||
omringd door groen en stilte. Zodra je door de poort loopt, voel je de geschiedenis
|
||
op je afkomen.

Binnen is het alsof de tijd heeft stilgestaan. De kamers zijn sfeervol ingericht

||
en de verhalen achter het kasteel , vooral over Belle van Zuylen maken het echt
|
||
levendig.

||
De kasteeltuin is misschien wel mijn favoriete onderdeel. Rustig, ruim en echt
|
||
prachtig onderhouden. Je kunt er heerlijk wandelen en even helemaal tot rust
|
||
komen.

fijne en leerzame ervaring. Of je nou houdt van geschiedenis, mooie tuinen of
|
||
gewoon een bijzonder dagje uit zoekt: Slot Zuylen is een aanrader'

kregen een allervriendelijkste ontvangst en waardeerden de vele vrijwilligers,
|

die meer dan bereid zijn hun bijdrage te leveren. Zowel in het koetshuis als

in de theeschenkerij was er goede catering. Bovendien is er nu veel meer van

||

is stil en omringd door mooie natuur. Het kasteel heeft veel authentieke voorwerpen
