text: Ik vond het een interessant museum in een prachtig historisch gebouw. Jet verhaal van Willem van Oranje wordt in

||
verschillende ruimtes weergegeven door middel van schilderijen en bijzondere voorwerpen. Wat maakt dat ik maar 3 sterren

||
kan geven is het feit dat de felgekleurde beschildering op de muren de sfeer van het gebouw wegnam. Voor mij was het
|
||
respectloos naar de historie van het gebouw. Jammer!

text: Een liefhebber van Nederlandse geschiedenis komt volledig aan zijn trekken in het Prinsenhof! Dit museum beschikt

||
over een prachtige en waardevolle collectie die veel vertelt over met name de tachtigjarige oorlog. De objecten zijn

||
levendig en goed onderbouwd met pakkende teksten waardoor je nagenoeg teruggaat naar de opstand. De kennis die je in
|
||
dit museum opdoet over de Vader des Vaderlands is een must voor elke Nederlander en historieliefhebber. Pakkend en dus
|
||
ook leerzaam tegelijkertijd. Een aanrader tot en met!

text: Mooi museum in een oud klooster wat een grote historische waarde herbergt. Hier werd Willem van Oranje doodgeschoten
|
||
door Balthasar Gerards in het jaar 1584. De kogelgaten zijn nog te zien in de muur bij de trap. Ook zie je er prachtige
|
||
honderden jaren oud Delfts Blauw en schilderijen, Delftse innovaties, en kunst. Je kan er ook wat eten/drinken en er
|
||
zijn kluisjes aanwezig. Alles staat in twee talen Engels en Nederlands.

Op Internationale Vrouwendag 2021 lanceerde Museum Prinsenhof Delft het vierjarige project De Delftse Blik. Met De Delftse Blik kijkt Museum Prinsenhof Delft met een nieuwsgierige en onderzoekende blik naar haar eigen collectie. Het museum wil samen met inwoners van Delft en museumbezoekers programmering maken, om hiermee nieuwe verhalen op te halen en de drempel voor een bezoek te verlagen. Het museum kiest de Willem van Oranje collectie als uitgangspunt, omdat deze museumpijler verbonden is aan actuele thema’s (vrouwen 2021), veiligheid (2022) en vrijheid (2023). Ieder jaar krijgt een beeldend kunstenaar de opdracht een werk te maken dat aansluit bij het thema.

De Delftse Blik wordt mede mogelijk gemaakt door het Mondriaan Fonds, het VSBfonds, Fonds 1818, Rabobank en De Laatste Eer.
