    text: 'A wonderful library with an extensive catalog of collections. Scanning is prohibitively expensive (175 rubles per page for books published between 1850 and 1900). It would be a great idea to allow library users to scan books free of charge in the reading room, with the condition that the resulting files be transferred to the BAN electronic storage collection. Such a mutually beneficial collaboration would make everyone''s life easier. Another option would be to purchase several specialized book scanners (like the one in the Berlin Library) and offer free use (with the presence of a qualified operator) of at least one of them in the reading room.

      Such innovations are long overdue!'
