lied “Het dorp”, gezongen door Wim Sonneveld, is gebaseerd op de tuin achter het museum.

Museum is rolstoel toegankelijk, voorzien van speciale ingang, lift en invalide toilet.

text: 'Mijn trip naar Museum De Wieger zat vol aangename verrassingen.
|
||
|
||
Allereerst was daar, toen ik nét station Deurne uit was, de buste van schrijver Anton Coolen voor het huis De Romein
|
||
in de Romeinstraat. Hij bleek goed bevriend te zijn geweest met de naamgever van het museum, ''Pictor-Medicus'', Hendrik
|
||
Wiegersma, een markante man, zo blijkt ook uit de film die het museum over hem vertoont. Als dokter erg begaan met met
|
||
de arme boeren en veenarbeiders in De Peel - velen behandelde hij voor niets. Maar ook een verdienstelijk schilder,
|
||
een verzamelaar van volkskunst (messen met handgesneden heften, snuifdozen, etc.), maar ook schilderijen van tijdgenoten
|
||
als Otto van Rees, Leo Gestel.ij was natuurlijk de vader van Friso Wiegersma, vriend van Wim Sonneveld en tekstdichter
|
||
van ''Het dorp'' (dat was geen verrassing voor mij...)
|
||
|
||
Daarnaast was er nog een tentoonstelling van twee kunstenaressen die zich in hun werk lieten inspireren door het veengebied,
|
||
van de Peel, maar ook van veenweidegebieden als De Botshol en Tienhoven, waar ik het afgelopen weekend doorheen fietste
|
||
en zo van mocht genieten: het cirkeltje kwam du weer mooi rond...🤗🤩'
