Geschiedenis van textiel in Borne uitgelegd met film, informatieborden en wat klein materiaal. Linnenkamer, slaapkamer

fabriekswerker, schooltje en weefgetouwen nagebouwd. Neemt je terug in de tijd. Helaas weefgetouwen niet in werking
|
||
gezien. De dames waren te druk met andere dingen. Boven wordt ook aan de hand van 4 korte films in chronologische volgorde
|
||
de geschirdenis verteld. Persoonlijk vind ik het beste daarmee te beginnenn
|
||
|
||

||
Daarnaast nu tm juli 2025 Magisch schotland. Kilt, info over schotse tradities en de rol daarin van de tartanstof. Zeer
|
||
informatief. Soms wat verwarrend wT dan is in 1 ruim het midden en film over geschiedenis vd textiel en eromheen over
|
||
de schotten. Goed kijken dat je niks mist.
|
||

We zijn er 1,5 uur geweest. Eenvoudig wi keltje met paar theedoeken. Toilet aanwezig. Koffie en frisdrank te koop met
|
||
appeltaart.'

veel meer over geschiedenis van Borne, Twente, tekstiel en linnen in algemeen.

Bovendien vind je hier afwisselende exposities. Bijvoorbeeld over het leven van geisha; deze is net afgelopen.

En het zolder is echt cool; alsof je terug in tijd gaat. Vrijwilligers gebruiken hier honderd jaar oud machines om iets

moois van vlas.'

text: 'Een klein museum met veel bezienswaardigheden. Vriendelijk personeel en ze nemen alle tijd voor vragen, etc.

||
Het Bussemakerhuis is het enige overgebleven linnenhandelshuis in Nederland dat nog in vrijwel oorspronkelijke staat
|
||
verkeert en is opengesteld voor publiek. Het huis staat aan de Ennekerdijk, in de oude kern van Borne en heeft met zijn
|
||
fraaie klokgevel en indrukwekkende geschiedenis met recht zijn monumentale status verdiend. Bijzonder aan het huis zijn
|
||
o.a. de voorgevel met de sierlijke klauwstukken met beelden van een dolfijn, maanfiguur en granaatappel. Ook de originele
|
||
hijsinstallatie waarmee het linnen naar de zolder werd gehesen is nog prachtig zichtbaar.

Van fabrikeurswoning tot museum
|
||
|
||
De fabrikeur Jan Bussemaker liet in 1779 het oorspronkelijke huis uit 1655 verbouwen tot woon- en handelshuis. Het Bussemakerhuis
|
||
heeft toen zijn huidige vorm gekregen. Het oorspronkelijke huis uit 1655 is bij de verbouwing verbreed, wat nog op zolder
|
||
in de gebinten is te zien. Nadat in 1882 de laatste Bussemakers het huis hadden verlaten is het pand een langere periode
|
||
verhuurd aan particulieren. In 1959 is de Stichting Bussemakerhuis opgericht om het Bussemakerhuis van de sloop te redden
|
||
en verhuurde ze het aan verschillende particulieren. Sinds 1993 is het Bussemakerhuis een geregistreerd museum en opengesteld
|
||
