text: 'Interessant om eens te zien hoe men vroeger kant maakte. Diverse machines

||
werken nog, maar helaas wordt adequate kennis steeds zeldzamer. Er worden gratis
|
||
rondleidingen gegeven, die zeker toegevoegde waarde hebben. Hierdoor gaat deze
|
||
plek leven en kun je zien hoe het eens heeft moeten zijn.
|
||
|
||
Daarnaast zijn er altijd textiele exposities. Er zijn tweedehands boeken te
|
||
koop, vooral m.b.t. alles wat met textiel te maken heeft. Ook is het mogelijk
|
||
om handgemaakte voorwerpen te kopen. De grote tafels binnen nodigen uit om koffie
|
||
met een gebakje te eten en nog eens na te praten. Vrijwilligers zorgen dat het
|
||
draaiend blijft.
|
||
|
||
Gratis entree met een Museumkaart of anders €8. Parkeren kan vlakbij op een
|
||
plek tussen de huizen door. Zie de blauwe P.
|
||
|
||
Mensen behulpzaam, vriendelijk en gezellig. Goed voor een middagje eens wat
|
||
anders bekijken.'

text: 'Na een wandeling in de omgeving hebben we het museum kantfabriek bezocht.
|
||
|
||
Een niet al te grote fabriek in het mooie Horst. We werden zeer hartelijk ontvangen
|
||
door 2 dames die er als vrijwilligers werkzaam zijn. Entree is voor volwassenen
|
||
8 euro per persoon. De rondleiding was net begonnen, maar we mochten gewoon
|
||
aansluiten, of als we dat wilden mochten we ook zelf rondkijken. We zijn voir
|
||
de rondleiding gegaan. De enthousiaste dame deed dit al 14 jaar en ze wist het
|
||
heel goed en duidelijk te vertellen. Ik verklap niets over de rondleiding, dat
|
||
zou jammer zijn toch. Wij vonden het interessant van de "kant" zijde en de
|
||
technische zijde gezien.
|
||
|
||
En kleine 45 minuten later nog even in de winkel gekeken en wat gekocht.
|
||
|
||
Er is op dit moment ook nog een expositie van 2 schilders te zien. Aan het einde
|
||
hebben we genoten van een goeie bak koffie, zoals de Brabanders zeggen met een
|
||
stuk vlaai en de gezellige babbel met de dames en de technische man die de hele
|
||
zaak letterlijk draaiende hout.

We hebben er zeker wat van opgestoken. Bedankt voor de gastvrijheid.'
