    text: Mooi gebouw mid centrum. Meerdere verdiepingen met meerdere tentoonstellingen.
      Schilderijen van van Geest erg fraai. Stukje museum gereserveerd voor mata hari,
      erg interessant. (Lucht) foto's leeuwarden en omgeving interessant. Leuk museum
      cafetje voor lunch of koffie.

    text: Het museum is interessant en het personeel is erg aardig. Wel had ik iets
      meer van de tentoonstellingen verwacht, maar er was een nieuwe tentoonstelling
      in opbouw, dus niet alles was te zien. Het gebouw zelf is architectonisch ook
      heel interessant. De tentoonstelling op de bovenste verdieping vond ik minder
      interessant, ook was hier af en toe een enorm luide knal te horen als onderdeel
      van de tentoonstelling. Met de Museumkaart leuk om te bezoeken, maar ik zou
      hier niet een los ticket voor betalen.

    text: Ik ben er aan mijn trekken gekomen. De oorlogscollectie sprak me aan - zoog
      me naar binnen - uit pure interesse. Afwisselende collectie met beelden, geluiden
      en fysieke zaken, zoals een vliegtuigmotor, servies, foto’s, nooit verstuurde
      handgeschreven brieven, geweren, betonbommen en vliegtuigbanden (met binnenband!).
      Ontroerend vond ik de vele verhalen die de lokale Friezen door de jaren hebben
      op laten tekenen en die nu aangeboden worden in het museum. Binnenkort ga ik
      terug voor het andere deel van het museum over de geschiedenis van Fryslân.
      Daar was helaas nu geen tijd meer voor.
