الله منذ تأسيسها على يد السيد خليل أبو ريا في العام 1957، الذي وهب المبنى والأرض

المحيطة به لبلدية رام الله، واستكمالا لدورها وتطويرا له وبعد عملية تحليل لواقع

||
مدينة رام الله الحالي والاحتياجات على المستوى المحلي والوطني مع وجود الكم الأكبر
|
||
من الحراك الثقافي والسياسي في هذه المدينة ووجود العديد من المؤسسات التربوية
|
||
والأكاديمية والبحثية في المدينة ومحيطها مع التطورات الهائلة على مستوى شبكات
|
||
الاتصال والتواصل الإلكترونية وتراجع دور المكتبات العامة في جذب الرواد وبناء
|
||
عليه أقرت بلدية رام الله في خطتها مشروع تطوير مكتبة رام الله العامة ، من حيث
|
||
اضافة طابق ثالث وتأهيل الحديقة الخارجية لتصبح حديقة قراءة من اجل توفير مكان
|
||
وجو مناسبان للقراء والمستفيدين من المدينة والمدن والقرى المجاورة. يتم الان العمل
|
||
على التصميم الجديد للمكتبة ومن المتوقع ان تتم عملية التطوير هذا مع منتصف العام
|
||
2015.
