text: 'Een museum met een mooie collectie over het verleden van Utrecht wat op

papier is vastgelegd.

||
Ik werd hartelijke ontvangen door de medewerker van het museum. Vanwege de hitte
|
||
was het rustig en nam zij de tijd om het museum uit te leggen.
|
||
|
||
Het begon met een voorstelling(die erg grappig en goed was) om te laten zien
|
||
waarvoor het Archief wordt gebruikt.
|
||
|
||
Ik had geluk om naast de vaste tentoonstelling, Utrecht start hier, 3 tijdelijke
|
||
tentoonstellingen te kunnen zien. Summer of ‘75, voor het kiezen en de hoogtepunten
|
||
Moesman.
|
||
|
||
|
||
Summer of ‘75 laat goed zien hoe de tijdsgeest in die periode was. Ook toen
|
||
hadden ze last van de hitte en ik zag zelfs speelgoed waarmee ik heb gespeeld,
|
||
ondanks dat ik jaren later ben geboren. Mooi opgezet en het gratis aanbieden
|
||
van limonade was een prettige verrassing!
|
||
|
||
|
||
Utrecht start hier geeft een geweldig inkijk op de geschiedenis van Utrecht.
|
||
Ook van de periode dat ikzelf woonde in Utrecht wordt er weergegeven. De eerste
|
||
serious request is er eentje die ik zeer goed kan herinneren.
|
||
|
||
De interactieve onderdelen zoals de fietsroute door Utrecht en het slopen van
|
||
fort Vredenburg zijn leuk gedaan.
|
||
|
||
|
||
Voor het kiezen is een tentoonstelling die een absolute schat heeft. De Stichtse
|
||
landbrief(eigenlijk brieven want er zijn er meerdere bewaard) is echt een uniek
|
||
item om te zien. Utrechts eigen Magna Carta zou ik het noemen. Het is daar naast
|
||
een mooie tocht over hoe de democratie zich in Utrecht en Nederland ontwikkeld.
|
||
Aan het einde was er ook nog een plek waarbij jezelf kon kiezen, maar voor mij
|
||
waren er geen stickers meer. Een heel klein minpuntje.
|
||
|
||
|
||
Ik hou van het verleden en via de Moesman wordt je meegenomen naar het Utrecht
|
||
van ongeveer 100jaar geleden. De tijdsgeest is heel duidelijk vastgelegd door
|
||
zijn foto’s. Het is niet helemaal mijn mode en smaak. Het is grappig om te zien
|
||
dat hij ook foto’s maakt, waar hedendaags iedereen ook foto’s maakt.
|
||
|
||
|
||
Dit museum is een aanrader die van de stad Utrecht houdt en meer wilt weten
|
||
over zijn geschiedenis.'

text: Vlakbij het Domplein bevindt zich Het Utrechts Archief. Bij de ingang werden
|
||
we vriendelijk ontvangen. We hebben eerst de animatiefilm bekeken over de ontstaansgeschiedenis
|
||
van het archief en wat het archief voor je kan betekenen als je op zoek bent
|
||
naar je familiegeschiedenis of andere historische gegevens. Daarna een kleine
|
||
tentoonstelling over Utrecht begint hier over het onstaan en de groei van Utrecht
|
||
door de eeuwen heen. Tot slot was er de prachtige tentoonstelling De getekende
|
||
stad met fraaie oude prenten van de stad. Leuk was ook de postkoets die je
|
||
een historische tocht liet maken door de stad en omgeving. Ook interessant waren
|
||
de muurfragmenten en wijnkelder van de voormalige Middeleeuwse Paulus abdij.

text: Dit archief is meer dan een bezoek waard. Je komt er binnen met de museumpas. De
|
||
animatiefilm in de eerste ruimte is heel aangenaam. De daaropvolgende ruimtes
|
||
bieden een degelijk en gevarieerd overzicht van de verschillende aspecten van
|
||
Utrecht. We werden onthaald door een vriendelijke en hulpvaardige medewerker.

text: Bij een archief denk je gauw aan stoffige planken en lange volgepakte rekken.
|
||
Niets van dat alles bij Het Utrechts Archief dat gebruikmakend van de modernste
|
||
technieken een presentatie neer zet die er zijn mag. Het Utrechts Archief houdt
|
||
wisselende exposities in de vaak uit de vroegere Paulusabdij overgebleven ruimtes,
|
||
waar je nog muren in kloostermoppen en spitsboogramen aantreft. Uiteraard is
|
||
er een studiezaal boven waar je digitaal in de archieven kunt zoeken. Een bezoek
|
||
meer dan waard.
