text: Wat een indrukwekkende verzameling van Jeanne Warners. Nederlandse reiziger
die allerlei rariteiten en accessoires die met de zee te maken hebben heeft
verzameld. Eerst had ze deze verzameling in Oosterbeek en sinds 1986 is het
te bezoeken in Vledder. Als je schelpen verzameld heeft de museum winkel hele
mooie te koop. Ook het Jutterspad achter het museum is echt de moeite waard.
Wat een troep gooit men in de zee/oceaan.

text: Miramar Zeemuseum is het enige Zeemuseum dat in het binnenland ligt. Dit
Drentse museum in Vledder heeft vaste en wisselende exposities. In vitrines
staan allerlei schelpen, koralen en andere zeedieren. Ook op sterk water. In
april 2026 opent een overzicht expo over het leven van de grondlegster van het
museum, Jeanne Warners. Regelmatig zijn er speciale kinderactiviteiten in het
Zeelab. Nieuw dit jaar (2025) is het Jutterspad in de bostuin achter het museum.
Er is een winkel en je kunt er koffie drinken. Bij goed weer op het terras en
museumkaart is geldig😁

text: Leuk vakantie uitstapje in eigen regio. Op de fiets van Steenwijk naar Vledder
naar Miramar zeemuseum. Nu ook met het (tijdelijk) aanwezige skelet van de dwergvinvis.
Het museum verraste in positieve zin. Zowel qua prijs, expositie, leerzame informatie
en collectie. Veel te zien qua schelpen, sponzen, zeedieren (opgezet en op sterk
water) en over de geschiedenis van mej. Warners. Voor ons zoontje deden we de
speurtocht en was er wat te knutselen (tegen kleine meerprijs) en het jutterspad
buiten. Wonderbaarlijk dat je zo dichtbij woont en nog niet eerder van dit museum
gehoord had. We hebben ons er ruim 1,5 uur goed vermaakt. Ook te combineren
met OERmuseum en Museum valse kunst in Zuidwest-Drenthe voor de kinderen die
de schatten willen sparen voor het schatkistje.
