text: 'They say every stitch has a story. Tonight, I heard a thousand. ✨
Spent an incredible evening at the L D Museum, completely immersed in the vibrant worlds of Kutch embroidery, Patan''s
legendary Patola silks, and the divine art of Nathdwara Pichwai.
A massive thank you to the legendary Malti Mehta ji for screening your stunning documentaries on Indian textile and
art heritage.
To see these ancient crafts—each stitch, each dye, each brushstroke—preserved and celebrated on screen was pure magic.
It wasn''t just a film screening; it was a journey into the soul of Indian artistry.
If you ever get a chance to see Malti ji''s work or attend an event like this, RUN. These stories of heritage and hands
are what we need to see more of.
Feeling inspired and so proud of our rich cultural tapestry! 🧵🎨

text: 'I first stumbled upon this architectural gem over three decades ago during my time at CEPT. Designed by the renowned
Pritzker Prize-winning architect B.V. Doshi, the building was constructed in the late 1960s and remains a remarkable
example of brutalist architecture, characterized by its raw, exposed concrete.
The institute serves a profound purpose—housing a priceless collection of rare manuscripts, primarily from Jain bhandars,
along with exquisite miniature paintings and sculptures. Approaching the entrance, one is greeted by a vast, elevated
open courtyard, and as you step closer, the understated grandeur of the structure slowly reveals itself, despite its
modest height.
The top-floor balcony and spatial divisions echo the architectural language of Le Corbusiers La Tourette monastery,
reflecting a profound interplay of modernist principles. Remarkably, the building has been meticulously preserved, defying
its age—few would believe it has stood for 65 to 70 years.
A personal connection deepens my appreciation for this space. My relatives, Shri Kanubhai Seth and Shrimati Kalpana
Seth, were closely associated with the institute, dedicating years to researching Indian manuscripts within its walls.
I had the privilege of visiting alongside them, an experience that only enriched my understanding of its significance.
For architectural students eager to explore modernist works by Doshi, this institution is an invaluable site—an embodiment
of design sensibilities that merge cultural preservation with contemporary expression.'

text: 'Visited its museum on 16th April 2023, which happened to be the collaboration day for ''Museum of Wheels'' project,
under GOI, between CSMVS Mumbai and LD Institute of Indology Ahmedabad. They had a diverse range of collections (though
few in quantity, but its a bus, so its alright) ranging from Ghaznavid to Mughal and even IVC era. The coins, royal
artifacts and handicraft textiles were exhibited beautifully, some were even Braille Tactile Painting, inscription (Brahmi),
figurines and ancient jewelries- good for the bling visitors from Andh Jann Mandal nearby. Kudos to them 👏🏻, and LD
museum can learn likewise to introduce more interactive artifacts which we can feel by touch.
Unfortunately the LD museum prohibited photography strictly.
I recommend CSMVS representative in bus to collaborate with RBI monetary museum of Mumbai in this remote long distance
initiave of GOI, as coins are much kore portable then oyher artifacts (plus, numismatics is highly fascinated yet ignored
by lay masses)'

reasoning: The candidate is a strong match. The name 'L D Institute of Indology' is a direct and unambiguous abbreviation
of the source name 'Lalbhai Dalpatbhai Institute of Indology'. The location is in Ahmedabad, India, which matches the
source institution. While the Google Place types ('point_of_interest', 'establishment') are generic, the official website
provides direct evidence that this is a research institute with a museum, confirming its identity as a Heritage Institution.
