text: 'March 27, 2025: Unfortunately, it''s the loudest place ever. Extremely unpleasant. On the top floor, someone is

sitting in a hanging chair talking on the phone with a loudspeaker. They might as well set up a library on the U6 subway.

On the first floor, someone is also using a cell phone and talking on the phone. "This is my first time here" - on Earth,
|
||
or how can the concept of a library and reading be so foreign to someone...
|
||
|
||

||
The students doing homework are also sitting on the first floor. They talk, of course. That''s okay, but there should
|
||
be a separate room for that.
|
||
|
||
|
||
The other seats don''t have power outlets.
|
||
|
||
|
||
People who need quiet aren''t allowed here and aren''t counted; the loud ones have priority. Basically, in the open
|
||
seats, people with diaper wearers, who are probably identified as highly talented, are shouting across the room, and
|
||
loud talking is the order of the day anyway. It''s so tasteless.
|
||
|
||
|
||
Positive: Best books, seed library, just so well thought out.
|
||
|
||
|
||
My dream vacation would be a week in the St. Pölten library in a small attic room. You just take a week off and can
|
||
just read the whole time. I''d book it immediately.
|
||
|
||
(Minus the lowbrow people who unfortunately aren''t stopped).

March 14, 2025: Unfortunately, I have to revise my positive review. It''s so incredibly loud. Nobody here has any manners.

The adults are the most unbelievable. It''s truly unbelievable how unmannerly the people are, whose children are amazing
|
||
anyway. Really not the most educated class. Pretty unbearable. People are constantly chattering, and whispering is also
|
||
extremely loud and distracting. Sadly, it''s a waste of time. You don''t even need to start working here anymore. There''s
|
||
simply no peace and quiet.
|
||
|
||
That cell phones ring and mentally retarded people start singing ("I''m the princess, I''m the princess") defies all
|
||
logic.
|
||
|
||
Unfortunately, there are no quiet workstations for adults.
|
||
|
||
You can''t really be in peace before the library closes.
|
||
|
||
It''s a shame that even after the library closes, people think no one''s there anyway and babble at the top of their
|
||
lungs the whole time, even if they''re one floor below.
|
||
|
||
How about just not talking? How about silence? Just be quiet for a while. Support yourself, sit, and breathe. Would
|
||
that be possible? No, you have to babble constantly. Whispering is still talking.
|
||
|
||

The room itself is nice, though.
|

text: 'I visited the public library with my daughter for the first time today, and I have to say I''m absolutely thrilled.

The children''s area is fantastic, with a small play area and plenty of seating for browsing and reading aloud. The

||
selection of children''s books, Tonies, and other media is huge.
|
||
|
||
The same is probably true for the adult books, as I haven''t had much time to browse today.
|
||
|
||
The staff are all incredibly friendly, and registration was quick. Returns are made via a return station where you scan
|
||
the books yourself.

||

||
Highly recommended. ☺️'

so much? It should be a place of peace and quiet, not where parents let their children run around unchecked and screaming.

People talk loudly on the phone, and the staff simply ignore everything and disappear into their offices. Such a shame

about such a beautiful place...
