text: We couldn’t contain our excitement walking into Houghton Library — it’s
|
||
a dream for any English teacher or lit lover. The Emily Dickinson collection
|
||
was the highlight for me — original poems, family, portraits, and personal items
|
||
that are just incredible to see up close. There’s so much more to explore, with
|
||
works from so many other authors and literary treasures around every corner.
|
||
It’s a beautiful, peaceful space and a must-visit for anyone who loves literature.
|
||
If you plan on going, make sure you sign up for their tour,otherwise you're
|
||
limited to very few spaces you can visit within the library.

text: It’s always nice to find something a little underrated and intimate, and

be able to experience it in a different way. Super impressive collection, and
|
||
they offer free detailed intimate tours from very knowledgeable staff - came
|
||
specifically for the Emily Dickinson collection and it did not disappoint -
|
||
so many artefacts from her home as well as written originals from a variety
|
||
of the most famous american authors, and first prints of classic novels. Wouldn’t
|
||
give this one a skip.
