I'm truly disappointed with the Bern Medical Library. In my opinion, a library should be a place of knowledge, openness, and neutrality, but the opposite seems to be the case here.
|
||
The library's Instagram account promotes a clearly left-wing, ideologically biased worldview. Many students follow the account only to stay informed about parties or events, but are confronted with political propaganda there.
|
||
I find it highly questionable for a public educational institution to exploit students in this way for political messages. Instead of focusing on education and research, they discuss privilege, "cis men," and "patriarchy," topics that are simply out of place in this context.
|
||
A library should be a neutral space for all students, regardless of their opinions or background.

text: Perfect place for a depressive study phase. The massive, Soviet-style concrete building makes me feel like I'm stuck
|
||
in a Russian gulag during my study phase. The only thing missing are the bars on the windows. So this place is perfectly
|
||
designed for studying with the feeling that even a second of inactivity will leave you with lead between your eyes.
|
||
I lose one star for the double espresso from the coffee machine, which gave me terrible diarrhea. But it's a real kick
|
||
